SENIOR MANAGER - PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Experienced public affairs professional to help develop and manage strategic programs to grow visibility for a variety of blue chip corporate clients and their sustainability/environmental policy priorities.
What You’ll Do:
Identify, build, and cultivate relationships with state and federal policy makers/their staffs.
Develop proactive and defensive outreach strategies to support key legislative priorities and business objectives.
Lead ongoing engagement with stakeholder targets.
Provide advice and insights to clients on policy matters as it affects their business, analyzing and simplifying complex legislative, regulatory, political or other general government matters for a variety of internal audiences.
Craft client-ready collateral materials ranging from meeting talking points and briefing documents to issues monitoring reports.
Manage work plans, deadlines, and deliverables.
Work closely with the Managing Director to surface new opportunities and grow agency capabilities.

A soothsayer who can connect the dots of the policy landscape to see opportunities and threats that matter to our clients.
Someone with an existing network of contacts across the country and/or the skill to quickly find and engage with contacts relevant to client needs.
A juggler who turns on a dime effortlessly, while maintaining speeds of 100 miles an hour (we’re not kidding. Multiple priorities and warp speed is how we roll).
A stickler for quality, beautifully written and elegantly formatted client deliverables.
A friendly and kind colleague who prefers a smaller office environment and values the benefits that come with that.
What You’ll Have:
A college degree
7- 10 years of experience
Experience with or ability to ramp up FAST on such policy issues as climate change, circular economy, plastics waste, recycling, and the UN SDGs
Mastery of Microsoft office products, G-Suite, and modern office technology. (Seriously, you have to walk in the door knowing how to use Excel, how to set up ZOOM calls and how to use the other tech tools in our arsenal)
